The Person in the Chair

A little background on the person you’re considering being vulnerable with:

  • I was a first generation college student and first generation graduate student. I come from a low income background and grew up in a single income household. Because of my upbringing and the adversity I’ve faced and overcome, I have a heart for serving marginalized communities.

  • The women in my family have suffered from generational poverty and trauma, myself included. This experience has developed my passion for helping women heal from the things they didn’t ask for.

  • Grief and loss have been a part of my story since I was born. I’ve done plenty of my own therapy and supporting clients in their grief continues to be some of my most meaningful work.

  • My previous career path involved working with vulnerable populations including folks who were incarcerated and on parole, women’s healthcare administration, and health insurance for seniors and the disabled.

  • In my free time I enjoy specialty coffee, writing, beekeeping, traveling, live music, and supporting local small businesses.

  • My top comfort shows are: Gilmore Girls, The Office, New Girl, and This is Us. My recent binge series’ include: The Bear, Tell Me Lies, and Nobody Wants This.
